“The 1st Mancheng-Shanghai-Hong Kong Chemical Frontier Academic Seminar” was held at Shanghai Organic

    From April 2nd to April 6th, 2017, sponsored by Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, the first Manchester-Shanghai-Hong Kong Trilateral Symposium on Chemistry Frontiers was held in Junmou Building.     The conference focused on the theme of “Beyond disciplines and cross-border” and invited some famous researchers in the chemical industry of the three places on the latest research results in the areas of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and materials chemistry to address the current hot spots in the chemical industry. In-depth exchanges and discussions. Chemists in Manchester, Hong Kong, and Shanghai plan to use the Shanghai-Hong Kong Chemical Synthesis Laboratory as a platform based on long-term exchanges and cooperation to further deepen the scope of chemical synthesis methodologies, biomedical, and organic microelectronic materials. The scale of the conference is about 60 people, including 11 overseas representatives, mainly from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Hong Kong. A total of 3 invitation reports and 12 oral reports were made during the meeting.
   At the closing ceremony, representatives from the three sides spoke and thanked the representatives of all parties for their active participation in the meeting and volunteers for their efforts. The meeting decided that the second Manchester City-Shanghai-Hong Kong Chemical Conference will be held in Hong Kong University in 2019.
